WE EXIST TO HELP PEOPLE KEEP SAYING YES TO JESUS
OUR LEAD PASTOR
Pastor Brad and his wife, Stephanie White, have a heart for people far from God. As the founding pastors of LifePoint Church in Tampa, Florida, the two planted six campuses in the Tampa Bay area. For three years, Brad pastored and directed C3 Global, a ministry of Fellowship Church in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, supporting pastors and church leaders in building healthier churches.
Today, at The Creek Church, he pastors three campuses. His leadership combines vision, strategy, and humility, emphasizing a faith that is lived out daily.
founded in 1861
For 144 years, the church existed as a small community church, serving those living in and near the Hawk Creek area of Laurel County, Kentucky.
On March 7, 1863, Jane Whitt became the first recorded person baptized in our church’s history. A few years later, on January 13, 1868, the first revival was recorded — a beautiful reminder that from the beginning, this church has been marked by changed lives.
On October 2, 1903, Liberty United Baptist Church became Hawk Creek Missionary Baptist Church, carrying forward a legacy of faith, community, and the hope of Jesus.
By 2005, 45 people were gathering each week when God began stirring something new in southeastern Kentucky. What started as a small church with a faithful history began growing into a movement of people saying yes to Jesus.
In 2012, that mission expanded with the launch of our Somerset campus, followed by Williamsburg in 2018. Today, more than 2,000 people gather across our campuses each week, and since 2005, we’ve celebrated more than 2,500 baptisms.
Through every season, one thing has remained the same: God is still changing lives, and we believe the story He is writing through The Creek is just getting started.
